Le Sueur County Pioneer Power Work Days
Many hours of volunteer work are preformed throughout the year at Pioneer Power. Starting in mid April of each year, every Tuesday evening is a work night at the show grounds. Saturdays are considered work days as well. These work days and nights last through September. During the remainder of the year, members are called on for whatever projects need attention. Lots of fun as well as work gets done and a noon lunch is served on most work Saturdays.
Another area of work, but not really considered work, is the town parades that some members take part in. The member usually provides his or her own tractor and pull the Pioneer Power float through the parade. This provides lots of fun for the participant.
Every September a club appreciation picnic is scheduled.
