Usually five to seven full size steam traction engines are fired up and under steam waiting to be called to work. The steam engines will be used to power the threshing machines, sawmill, silage cutter, etc. These engines are state inspected every other year and the engineers are required to have a state license to operate the engines. A steam operated winch is also on display. Just go up to any steam engineer and ask them to tell you exactly how a steam engine works, they will be glad to do so.
